Anglo American Platinum places a high degree of importance on the training and development of our employees. We are expanding to meet market demands, and introducing modern technology into our operations. For this reason, we need high calibre professionals to operate and manage our operations. Our bursary scheme is mainly designed to give young professionals an entry point into the Company. The scheme not only provides these bursars with an academic qualification, but it also gives them all the skills they will need to launch a successful career in the Company and in the mining industry.

The scheme is attractive in many respects – not only does it cover all of the financial needs of bursars, but it also provides medical cover and includes a computer allowance. And most importantly, it offers the prospect of a permanent position with the world leader in platinum.

Engineering Skills Training Centre (ESTC)

The centre provides engineering skills training for engineering employees, including Stope Servicemen, Learnerships, Apprenticeships, Artisan Short Courses, Foremen Development, Planned Maintenance and various specialised short courses.
